This is the image slected by Mix Magazine as one of the 20 elite studios of 2011.  The criteria were expert design (and a great photo didn't hurt).  Stonewall Studios in Pensacola, FL is only ~450 sq ft in total.  However, a NE style control room uses the flanking hallway spaces for LF control and this rectangular tracking room is large enough for an ensemble while remaining "attached" in vibe to the CR.

2011 brought a great opportunity to custom tweak the tracking room (we originally designed in 2008) for a certain iconic legend of metal (better known as the prince of darkness)...this room truly rocks in every regard: note the cobble stone hanging reflector panels.White Arc Studio is Paul Mahern's personal multi-function facility. This ~16K cu ft all-in-one space handles tracking through mastering chores. Paul's clients include Mellencamp, The Fray and plenty more.A second view that shows the sense of scale of this large room and the comfort and function first approach!Cabo Wabo Radio (inside Sammy Haggar's club, Mexico)

One of my favoritesMitch Easter control room

What a pleasure it was assist Mitch. My design goal was to create a room with some of the characteristics of the main room Fidelitorium. Catering to both bands and commercial work this facility is a ground up design that made it's budget and sounds GREAT.Seven Hills Recording tracking room. I really dig this room...there is actually a loosely coupled ceiling system...oh, if you're curious you'll have to ask and I'll be glad to explain in detail!Electrowerks Recording overdub room (Chicago, IL)

This room uses lightweight partition walls to balance isolation against low frequency resonance in room. In spite of the low ceiling the equation has really offered great tracks.MegStudio. Nashville, TN

Enter and get set to make music. Not shown is the neighboring warehouse space with tie lines for large drum sounds!!The hallway...cool sure...but architecturally one of the goals in the layout was to retain as wide a hall as possible: 4'-3"No windows...true. But, Hideout Recording Studio features state of the art connectivity by Under The Wire so this booth can be used by either CR (with heads in the CR's)
